Biography
Fumi Nakamura was born in Tokyo, Japan. She started studying the piano at the age of 6 and the violin at 10.
Fumi graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (Geidai) where she obtained her bachelor degree. Later she obtained Master degrees in both Concert and Orchestra at the Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Meanwhile she was selected as an academy player of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande in Geneva.
She is currently based in Switzerland, performing as a member of Sinfonietta de Lausanne and also playing in several professional orchestras both in Japan and Switzerland as substitute violinist.
She studied with Chikashi Tanaka, Takashi Urakawa, Natsmi Tamai, Gérard Poulet, Oleg Krysa, Pierre Amoyal, Francesco De Angelis and Bartłomiej “Bartek” Nizioł.
東京生まれ。慶應義塾女子高等学校を卒業後、東京藝術大学音楽学部器楽科卒業。スイス・ローザンヌ高等音楽院にてコンサート科およびオーケストラ科のマスター・ディプロムを取得。2014年から2015年にかけてスイス・ロマンド管弦楽団のアカデミー生として、シャルル・デュトワ氏とのアメリカツアーを含む多数の演奏会に出演。
現在はスイスに拠点を置き、ローザンヌ・シンフォニエッタのメンバーとして活動する傍ら、アンサンブル金沢やスイス・ロマンド管弦楽団、ベルン交響楽団をはじめとする日本やスイス各地のプロフェッショナル・オーケストラでの客演をしている。
これまでに田中千香士（元NHK交響楽団コンサートマスター）、浦川宜也（元バンベルグ交響楽団コンサートマスター）、玉井菜採（東京藝術大学教授）、ジェラール・プーレ（東京藝術大学招聘教授）、オレグ・クリサ（東京藝術大学招聘教授）、ピエール・アモイヤル（東京藝術大学招聘教授）、フランチェスコ・デ・アンジェリス（ミラノ・スカラ座コンサートマスター）、バルテック・ニジョル（チューリッヒオペラ座コンサートマスター）の各氏に師事。
